Sudan situation results from U.S. policy, country split into two parts - President al-Bashir

BOCHAROV RUCHEI. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Sudan is opposed to U.S. interference in the affairs of Arab countries; the country's division into two parts is a result of the U.S. policy, Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"We are opposed to U.S. interference in internal affairs of Arab countries, including U.S. interference in Iraq. We believe that the root of the problems currently experienced by the region is U.S. interference," al-Bashir said.

Sudan has split into two parts also as a result of the U.S. policy, al-Bashir said. "We believe that the situation that has occurred in our country derives from the U.S. policy. Our country has divided into two parts because of that," he said.
