Tokyo urges Russia to lay off 25,000 jobs for N.Koreans

MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono is calling on Russia to cut 25,000 jobs for Northern Koreans who are in Russia and have valid visas.

"Japan is urging all countries to fully comply with the [UN] Security Council resolutions and to scale down diplomatic and economic relations with North Korea, including by cutting down around 25,000 jobs for Northern Koreans who have valid work permits in Russia," Kono told Interfax ahead of his Moscow visit.
