VOSTOCHNY COSMODROME. Nov 28 (Interfax) - There is no need for additional funding of the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome's second stage, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin told reporters.
"Funds have been assigned within the framework of two programs, i.e. the federal space program and the recently approved 'Russian cosmodromes' program for the period through 2025. The government has approved it, and the money has been allotted. We do not envisage any other funding, we are sure we have enough," Rogozin said.
Roscosmos head Igor Komarov said, in turn, that the Defense Ministry was also not planning additional investment. "We have discussed the joint use of the cosmodrome and hope this will be the case, yet the construction project will be implemented with our money and employing the capacities of the contractors which Dmitry [Rogozin] has mentioned," Komarov said.
