KYIV/DONETSK. Nov 30 (Interfax) - Kyiv and Donetsk have traded ceasefire breach accusations.
The militia launched 18 attacks over the day, the staff of the Ukrainian army operation in Donbas said on Facebook on Thursday.
"In the past 24 hours, the enemy continued firing on Ukrainian army positions, including by use of weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements. Seven mortar attacks on defense lines were observed over the day, and about 50 mortar shells were fired," the staff said.
When needed, the Ukrainian army returned fire using small arms and grenade launchers. Eighteen ceasefire breaches were seen throughout the contact line over the day. None of the servicemen was hurt in those attacks, the staff said.
In turn, a spokesman for the operative command of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) said the Ukrainian army breached the truce 20 times over the day.
"In the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian army has breached the truce 20 times. The Ukrainian army shelled the vicinity of 12 populated localities in the republic using artillery, mortars of various calibers, grenade launchers, and small arms," the command representative said.
