BLAGOVESHCHENSK. Dec 5 (Interfax) - The theory that the launch of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket on November 28 failed because the Fregat upper stage was designed to be launched from Baikonur and the Soyuz rocket programmed to lift off from Vostochny, has proven to be incorrect, a source at the cosmodrome told Interfax on Tuesday.
"This theory was not a priority, but checks were still carried out. This theory did not find confirmation," the source said.
There were reports earlier about such a mix-up of launch sites.
