HMEIMIM. Dec 11 (Interfax) - The Russian Supreme Commander-in-Chief and President, Vladimir Putin, has ordered to start withdrawing the Russian military contingent from Syria to permanent bases in Russia.
"I am ordering the defense minister and the General Staff chief to start withdrawing the Russian contingent to permanent bases," Putin said as he addressed airbase servicemen on Monday.
