SHAYKOVKA AIRFIELD, Kaluga region. Dec 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Crews of the Tupolev Tu-22M3 long-range bombers have conducted a flight from an airfield in North Ossetia to their deployment site in the Kaluga region following successful accomplishment of the objectives in destroying terrorist facilities in Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Lt. Gen. Sergei Kobylash, commander of the long-range aviation, pointed out at the ceremony that the expert maintenance and the efficient combat use of aviation equipment enabled to skillfully execute the objectives set during the anti-terrorist operation in Syria," the ministry said in a statement obtained by Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.
