MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Russian bomb-disposal experts did not lose a single man during the demining of Deir ez-Zor in Syria, Maj. Gen. Konstantin Smeshko, the deputy head of the Engineer Troops, told reporters.
"The troops returned home without losing a single man," Smeshko said during a welcome ceremony for the demining team in Nakhabino on Tuesday.
The troops conducted "a unique humanitarian demining operation," he said. Ten servicemen from the International Mine Action Center received state awards during the ceremony.
