MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Presidential elections in Libya may take place in mid 2018, Mohammed Sayala, foreign minister of the Libyan Government of National Accord, said.
"We believe that presidential elections will be held in mid-2018 and elections to the chamber of representatives will be conducted before the end of the year," Sayala said at the Valdai Discussion Club in Moscow on Wednesday.
The issue of whether a referendum on the Libyan constitution will be held before or after the presidential elections will not affect preparations for them, he said.
