MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax) - The United States has de facto withdrawn from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty), while Russia is not planning to withdraw from any arms reduction treaties, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We haven't withdrawn from the ABM [Anti-Ballistic Missile] Treaty, the U.S. withdrew from it unilaterally. Now we hear that there are some problems with the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. It looks like the groundwork is being prepared and informational and propaganda work is being done for the U.S. to possibly withdraw from this treaty. Especially considering that they have de facto withdrawn from it," Putin said at an annual press conference on Thursday.
"In fact and in essence, the process [of the U.S.' withdrawal from the treaty] has been started. If the things go the same way, there is nothing good about it. We, for our part, are not going to withdraw from anything," he said.
