KYIV. Dec 18 (Interfax) - The mandate of a United Nations peacekeeping mission should extend to all Donbas territory not controlled by Kyiv, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko said at a joint press conference with Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa after their talks in Lisbon on Monday.

"We will have an effective means of bring about peace to Ukrainian land, and the peacekeepers will have access to the uncontrolled part of the Ukrainian-Russian border," Poroshenko said.

Earlier he wrote on Twitter: "With Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, we discussed prospects of deploying a full-fledged UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas to become an important tool of de-escalation and facilitate the arrival of peace to Ukrainian land."
