MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - The Syrian National Dialogue Congress, which is expected to be held in Sochi, should become a site for discussing the presidential and parliamentary elections in Syria, as well as the country's new constitution, a source close to the negotiations in Astana told Interfax.
The meeting between representatives of Russia, Iran and Turkey in Astana will begin on December 21.
"The congress should address the presidential and parliamentary elections in Syria, and also the country's new constitution," the source said.
The initiative to hold the Syrian National Dialogue Congress in Sochi has been supported by representatives of Iran and Turkey, the source said. Therefore, the event will be organized and coordinated by the three countries, the source said.
According to earlier reports, the Astana meeting participants are now arriving in the Kazakh capital.
