Ankara supports Astana process on Syria - Turkish foreign minister (Part 2)

BAKU. Dec 20 (Interfax) - Turkey's objective is to put an end to chaos in Syria in partnership with Russia and Iran, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

"We [Turkey] support the Astana process on Syria. Our goal is to put an end to chaos in Syria together with our partners from Russia and Iran," Cavusoglu said at a press conference in Baku.

Turkey regrets that the Geneva process on settling the conflict in Syria has produced no results, he said.

It was reported earlier that Astana would host the eighth international meeting on de-escalating the Syria conflict on December 21-22. Russia, Turkey, and Iran act as guarantors of the de-escalation process in Syria.
