Putin orders state security agencies to put reliable barrier to external interference in public, political life

MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax) - The state security agencies have to prevent external interference in Russia's political and public life, and also prevent the activities by foreign special services that are intensifying their work in the country, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"It is necessary to put a reliable barrier to external interference in our public and political life, stop the work of foreign special services, which, and it is not a secret, are trying to intensify their work in Russia," Putin said at an event devoted to the Day of Security Agency Officials.
