Russia, Saudi Arabia may agree on financial, technological aspects of S-400 contract before yearend - Russian presidential aide Kozhin (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Dec 21 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia is expecting to reach an agreement with Saudi Arabia on the financial and technological aspects of the contract on S-400 missile systems before the New Year, Russian presidential aide on military-technical cooperation Vladimir Kozhin said.

"I hope that by the end of the year, we will have answers to all remaining questions," Kozhin told reporters when asked about the contract on deliveries of S-400 systems to Saudi Arabia.

"We and Saudi Arabia have signed a whole package of agreements, including one on the S-400 [systems]. Talks are continuing to discuss technological and financial aspects," he said.

The discussion is being held "in the exactly the same context as, for example, with Turkey," Kozhin added.

These talks were taking place "literally as we speak here today," Kozhin said.

Kozhin also noted that the package of agreements the two countries have signed includes a contract on the sale of Kalashnikov assault rifles, under which the production of Kalashnikovs in Saudi Arabia will be arranged.
