Russian Navy commander pays working visit to Black Sea Fleet

MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Russian Navy Commander Adm. Vladimir Korolyov has paid a scheduled working visit to the Sevastopol base of the Black Sea Fleet, Navy spokesman Capt. 1st Rank Igor Dygalo told Interfax.

"In the course of his working visit, the Navy commander was briefed by the Black Sea Fleet command on certain aspects of the fulfillment of the fleet's combat-training plan in 2018 and the further development of the coastal infrastructure of the Black Sea Fleet's bases," Dygalo said.

In addition, Korolyov chaired a conference at the Black Sea Fleet headquarters to address the use of ships recently assigned to the Black Sea Fleet, the fleet's provision with advanced weapons and military hardware, and the maintenance and repairs of ships and vessels, he said.

The conference involved the heads of the Navy command's divisions, the Black Sea Fleet headquarters, and defense plants that fulfill naval orders.
