MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - The Russian president's special representative on Syria Alexander Lavrentyev will hold a meeting preparatory to the Syrian national dialogue congress, due to be held in Sochi on January 19-20, with deputy foreign ministers from Iran and Turkey, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said.
"Russia, Iran and Turkey will hold a trilateral meeting at the level of their deputy ministers in Sochi," Bogdanov told reporters on Thursday.
"Our side will be represented by the president's special representative on Syria, Alexander Lvovich Lavrentyev," he said.
"Deputy Minister [Sedat] Onal will arrive from Turkey," Bogdanov said.
Iran will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari who will arrive in Moscow on Friday for consultations before heading to Sochi, the deputy minister said.
These will be "bilateral Russian-Iranian consultations over the whole Middle Eastern problem," Bogdanov said.
