MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia's new Kh-101 missile has been tested in the anti-terrorist campaign in Syria and upgraded afterwards, Tactical Missiles Corporation Director General Boris Obnosov told Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.
"We have tested our new product, the Kh-101 air-based cruise missile, in the real combat; experts said the tests went well," Obnosov said.
Corporation representatives monitored preparations for the tests and the test-launches in Syria and Russia, he said.
"Designer collectives of our plants used the obtained information to upgrade the product consistent with local climatic conditions and adjusted combat mission sequences. I can assure you that the efforts of our specialists were not wasted," Obnosov said.
The Kh-101 missile has no analogues in its class, he said.
