SOCHI. Jan 31 (Interfax) - Kurdish delegates to the Syrian National Dialogue Congress in Sochi took a moderate stand and did not demand independence, the Russian President's Special Representative for Syria, Alexander Lavrentyev, told a press conference in Sochi on Tuesday.
"There were Kurds there as well; they received individual invitations. I believe they took a normal, good, and reserved stand," Lavrentyev said.
"They did not demand that an independent Syrian Kurdistan be created," he said.
"We would like to establish a dialogue between all strata of Syrian society. I think we have managed to do that," Lavrentyev said.
