MOSCOW. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will discuss the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program (JCPOA) and a settlement process in Syria with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov said on Monday.
"There is going to be a meeting. They will discuss bilateral relations, the Iranian nuclear program, and, naturally, the situation in the region with an emphasis placed on Syria, considering that we, Iran, and Turkey are guarantors of the Astana process and the initiators of the Sochi forum," Bogdanov told journalists.
The ministers will discuss "the outcomes of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress in Sochi and ways to put them into practice," he said.
