MOSCOW. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the successful development of military-technical cooperation with Algeria at talks with Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel.
"The prospects are good, and good results have already been achieved in military-technical cooperation; current plans should be implemented, and we are set for this," Lavrov said at the beginning of talks with Messahel in Moscow on Monday.
Lavrov also emphasized Algeria's role in efforts to counter terrorism in the region.
In turn, Messahel said he was interested in discussing regional security and efforts to fight terrorism and extremist ideology with his Russian counterpart.
