Clear-up rate for murders, other grave crimes grows in Russia - interior minister

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The clear-up rate for murders, serious battery, and rapes has noticeably grown in the past years and is now close to 100% in Russia, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said.

"The clear-up rate for murders has noticeably grown over the past five years. It has reached nearly 92% now," Kolokoltsev said at a ministry board meeting on Wednesday.

"The clear-up rate for deliberate infliction of grave bodily injuries stands at 93.5% and rapes at nearly 98%," Kolokoltsev said.
