Lavrov says U.S. didn't count many delivery vehicles in New START calculations (Part 2)

GENEVA. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The United States has unilaterally excluded a significant number of strategic delivery vehicles subject to reduction under the New Strategic Offensive Reduction Treaty (New START) from its calculations in circumvention of agreed-on procedures, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva on Wednesday.

"Despite impressive achievements in implementing the Russian-U.S. agreement, we have to mention quite a few questions that we have for our partners in Washington. In particular, this concerns the unilateral exclusion of a significant number of delivery vehicles from the count, essentially in circumvention of the procedures that are stipulated by the treaty and that imply that the other party should understand the methods of excluding delivery vehicles from the count," Lavrov said.
