MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has noted the importance of joining efforts of the international community in countering terrorism with the United Nations' coordinating role in the context of the situation in the Middle East, first and foremost, Syria.
"In the context of the situation in the Middle East, [we] emphasized the crucial importance of joining the international community's efforts in countering terrorism on the basis of the UN's coordinating role and the norms of international law," Putin said following negotiations with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.
