MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Attempts at deterring Russia's development in military and other fields have failed, President Vladimir Putin said in his address to the Federal Assembly.
"I would like to tell those who have been trying to escalate the arms race in the past 15 years, to gain unilateral advantages over Russia, and to impose restrictions and sanctions, which are illegal in the eyes of international law, for deterring the development of our country in military and other fields that everything you have tried to prevent and hinder with your policy has already happened. The attempt at curbing Russia has resulted in failure," Putin said.
