Kremlin aide Surkov expect to meet with Volker soon to discuss int'l control in Donbas

MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov has said he might meet with U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker soon to discuss international control in Donbas.

"Soon, we shall see. Haven't agreed yet, discussing the date," Surkov told Interfax when asked when he expected to meet with Volker next time.

Surkov confirmed that Volker and he would discuss international control in Donbas at the meeting. "It's been discussed all the time. After all, a UN mission is a matter of international control. This is the principle subject of the negotiations with the Americans on the matter," Surkov said when asked whether international control in Donbas, of which President Vladimir Putin spoke on Wednesday, would be addressed at his meeting with Volker.
