MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - Seoul is urging Moscow to facilitate the resumption of the six-party talks for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, member of the Korean National Assembly and head of the bipartisan parliamentary group on peace and cooperation in North East Asia Chung Dongyoung said.

"To resolve the nuclear problem of North Korea, not only negotiations between North Korea and the U.S. but also six-party negotiations are necessary. To resume such negotiations, Russia's active role is very important," Chung said at a meeting with Russian Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee head Konstantin Kosachyov in Moscow on Monday.

The South Korean delegation is meeting with Kosachyov to ask Russia to actively engage in attaining this end, he said.
