MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is unaware of causes of what has happened to former employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Sergei Skripal, who, according to the media, might have been poisoned with an unknown toxin, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"We know that this tragic situation has happened, yet we have no information about its probable causes, what this man has been doing, and what this is about. So, I simply cannot make any comments," Peskov said in response to journalists' request for comment on the incident involving Skripal.
"I am unable to offer any reaction, because we have no information at all. You know how he got to the West, as a result of which actions and decisions. I will not speak about this again," Peskov said.
