One hurt in Rostov-on-Don car explosion (Part 2)

ROSTOV-ON-DON. March 7 (Interfax) - One person was injured when a parked car blew up in Rostov-on-Don, an official with the Investigative Committee's branch for the Rostov region told Interfax.

A criminal case has been opened on counts of attempted murder and the illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, or possession of a weapon, its components, or ammunition, the official said.

Detectives are working at the scene.

The injured man has been admitted to a hospital, an informed source told Interfax.

"The injured man does business in Rostov-on-Don. He received several injuries. Now experts are busy determining the type and magnitude of the explosive charge. It's not out of the question that it was a hand grenade," the source said.
