EASTERN GHOUTA (Syria). March 15 (Interfax) - The Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria has managed to arrange the uninterrupted organized exit of civilians from Syria's Eastern Ghouta during the 17th humanitarian pause on Thursday, the center's head Maj. Gen. Yury Yevtushenko told reporters, adding that more than 350 people have already left the area today.
"The large-scale organized exit of civilians was arranged during the humanitarian pause on Thursday as a result of agreements reached at negotiations with the leaders of illegal armed units in Eastern Ghouta. More than 350 residents of the populated locality of Hamuriah have already left the district using the humanitarian corridor," he said.
Almost 900 people have left militant-controlled territories in Eastern Ghouta since this humanitarian passage was established.
The Russian center for reconciliation is continuing negotiations on civilians' exit from Eastern Ghouta on a daily basis, Yevtushenko said.
