MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - Russia will seek the fulfillment of the UN Security Council's resolution on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria, which the United States is undermining, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"We have pointed it out to our U.S. colleagues many times that they are still taking different steps, contrary to their numerous promises to respect the sovereignty of Syria. And we will work to prevent this story from being brushed under the carpet and to ensure that the council achieve the fulfillment of its resolution, which requires respect for the territorial integrity, freedom and independence of the Syrian Arab Republic," Lavrov said at the 'Russia - Country of Opportunity' conference in Moscow on Thursday.
