KYIV. March 15 (Interfax) - The subgroup on socio-economic issues in the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine (TCG) has reached an agreement on the process of restoring mobile communications in the Donbas territories uncontrolled by Kyiv, Darka Olifer, a spokesperson for Ukraine's second president Leonid Kuchma, who represents the country at the TCG, said.
"Within the subgroup on socio-economic issues, an agreement has been reached on the algorithm for the restoration of mobile communications in the territory of the certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This work will be done by Vodafone Ukraine along with the OSCE in compliance with Ukrainian legislation," she wrote on her Facebook page.
According to Olifer, the Ukrainian side again demanded the urgent return of Ukrzaliznytsia's rolling stock - more than 30,000 freight and passenger cars and more than 300 locomotives.
Kyiv also insists that Russia fulfill its promises and influence the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic for the purpose of opening the Zolote checkpoint.
