Russia takes new U.S. sanctions calmly, preparing response - Ryabkov

MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - Moscow has reacted calmly to the latest U.S. sanctions against Russia and started to prepare a response, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Interfax on Thursday.

"This whole line is sewn with white threads. It is tied purely to American infighting, it is tied, of course, to our election campaign calendar," Ryabkov said commenting on the introduction of new U.S. sanctions against Russia.

"We are taking this in our stride. We have begun preparing retaliatory measures," the deputy minister said.
