EASTERN GHOUTA. March 16 (Interfax) - The Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria has organized the delivery of 4,000 bedding sets for refugees, who fled Eastern Ghouta, to Damascus, the head of the Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides, Gen. Yury Yevtushenko, told reporters on Friday.
"Specialists of the Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides have organized the delivery of 4,000 bedding sets and food supplies to Damascus. Eastern Ghouta civilians, who left the area, will be supplied with them in the near future," Yevtushenko said.
Over 15,000 civilians have fled Eastern Ghouta, since the humanitarian corridor has been opened in the enclave. All of them are being accommodated in temporary camps in Damascus and its suburbs with the Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides' assistance.
