GROZNY. March 21 (Interfax) - Four militants have been eliminated in Chechnya, and no law enforcement officers were hurt, the press service for the Interior Ministry of the Chechen Republic told Interfax.
"A group of militants was found during operational and search activities conducted by officials from the Interior Ministry of the Chechen Republic in cooperation with the Russian Federal Security Service branch for the Chechen Republic in the Achkhoi-Martan district, which borders Ingushetia, in the forest around 10:00 p.m. [on Tuesday]," the press service said.
Interior Ministry, Federal Security Service, and Russian National Guard officers went to the place where the militants had been encircled and conducted a special operation to neutralize them, the press service said.
"As a result of the special operation, four criminals were killed; no law enforcement officers were hurt," the press service said.
The militants are now being identified, the press service said.
