MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax) - The State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Compatriots supported the candidacy of Oleg Vasnetsov for Russian ambassador to Moldova on Monday, a source with the diplomatic community told Interfax.
Vasnetsov is currently head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's department for ties with constituent territories, parliament and non-governmental associations.
Farit Mukhametshin has serveed as Russian ambassador to Chisinau since 2012.
