ANKARA. April 3 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Turkey for a two-day working visit, during which he is expected to discuss a bilateral agenda and prospects of a settlement process in Syria with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
This is the first foreign trip Putin is making after his reelection on March 18.
The Russian-Turkish top-level negotiations will take place in Ankara in Tuesday, and a Russia-Turkey-Iran summit meeting to address Syria is planned on Wednesday.
This will be the second summit of the leaders of the three countries.
Putin first met with Erdogan and Rouhani to address a settlement in Syria in Sochi on November 22. That meeting was initiated by Russia.
Putin's working visit will begin with taking part, along with Erdogan, in the ceremony of launching the construction of power unit 1 of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in a videoconference format.
Putin and Erdogan will then have a conversation to be followed by the seventh meeting of the top-level cooperation council hosted by the two presidents.
