Situation on Korean Peninsula gradually normalizing - Lavrov

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - Russia welcomes the gradual normalization on the Korean Peninsula and contacts between Pyongyang, Seoul, and Washington, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference after negotiations with his North Korean counterpart, Ri Yong Ho.

"We have made a rather detailed analysis of the situation surrounding the nuclear problem of the Korean Peninsula. The Russian side has welcomed the gradual normalization of the situation, the stopped exchange of threats, and the readiness for contacts between the two Koreas and between North Korea and the United States," Lavrov said.
