Ukraine's interior minister, FBI director sign information exchange agreement

KYIV. April 18 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov and Federal Bureau of Investigations Director Christopher Wray have signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation in the wake of a meeting in the United States.

The framework agreement between the Ukrainian Interior Ministry and the FBI will allow for a radical breakthrough in issues relating to information exchange and access to technical capabilities, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry press service said on Wednesday.

"One of such capabilities is the second document that we signed today between the National Police and an FBI department. It aims to fight organized crime [...] And we also made plans for some joint steps that will help fight Russian aggression," Avakov said.
