New U.S. policy poses increasing threat to Russia's security - Patrushev

MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - The policy pursued by the United States is posing increasing threats to Russia's national security, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said.

"Obviously, the changes in the U.S. policy toward Russia have posed increasing threats to our national security. All of this requires extra measures for their neutralization," Patrushev said at a meeting of the Russian Security Council interagency commission on strategic planning in Moscow on Friday.

"Among the key objectives, we need to attain goals related to making our foreign policy more offensive and ensure the necessary level of our defense and Russia's state and public security," he said.
