MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - Russia will do everything to implement agreement on Syria reached within the framework of the UN and at meetings in Astana and Sochi, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, adding that one should not give up.
"Less than a month has passed since we met with you on March 29. Today we are meeting in conditions when prospects for the soonest resumption of dialogue under your aegis and in line with [UN Security Council] Resolution 2254 are not that bright as they were a month ago," Lavrov said.
"Nonetheless, we should not give up, and we will do everything in order to prevent the retreat from key agreements that were reached in the [UN] Security Council, and in the framework of the Astana process and at the Syrian national dialogue congress in Sochi," he said.
