MOSCOW. April 23 (Interfax) - There has not been a decision on supplying S-300 air defense systems to Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters in Beijing.
"I cannot say the decision has been made," Lavrov said.
"We should wait and see what decisions the Russian administration makes together with Syrian representatives. I do not think it will be a secret; everything can be announced," he said.
Lavrov reminded reporters what Russian President Vladimir Putin said about the possible supply of S-300 systems. "He has discussed those issues with a representative of our Defense Ministry from the angle of preparing Syria for aggressive actions like the one that took place on April 14, 2018," he said.
