HMEIMIM. April 24 (Interfax) - A total of 1,072 militants and their family members have left Eastern Qalamoun over the past 24 hours, chief of the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria Maj. Gen. Yevgeny Yevtushenko said.
"A total of 1,072 militants and their family members have gone through this humanitarian corridor over the past 24 hours. All of them accompanied by vehicles of the Syrian security service and Syrian Arab Red Crescent ambulances were taken by 31 buses to the community of Qalaat al-Mudiq in the Idlib de-escalation zone," Yevtushenko said.
"In all, a total of 3,922 militants and their family members were withdrawn from Eastern Qalamoun since April 20," he said.
