Lukashenko urges foreign countries to leave Syria

MINSK. April 24 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has urged all foreign countries to leave Syria and not turn the country into a range for testing new weapons.

"Get away from Syria and finally let the Syrian people determine their life and their future," Lukashenko said in an annual address to the nation and the National Assembly in Minsk on Tuesday.

"Why are you walking around this territory like roosters and bragging about your power and strength before each other, training your army there, or something else?" Lukashenko said.

"The Syrian people will sort everything out on their own, without us, just let them do it," he said.

"Stop using Syria as a testing and training range," he said.
