MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - The U.S.' activities in Syria have aggravated the situation in the country, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said.
They are regrettable and they create concerns for the unity and integrity of Syria, he said.
"Foreign intervention in Syria only leads to more escalation and tension. We believe that the U.S. activities in Syria, which have led to more escalation and ethnic tensions, are regrettable," he said during a meeting with the foreign ministers of Russia and Turkey in Moscow on Saturday.
The U.S. activities in Syria "create concerns on a regional level about the political independence and unity of Syria," Zarif said.
