MOSCOW. May 21 (Interfax) - Some unilateral steps taken by the United States have had a destructive effect on the global order, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"The relationship between Russia and the 'historical West' are having quite hard times," Lavrov said in an interview with the Argentine newspaper Clarin.
"We have said repeatedly that this state of affairs is a logical effect of the unending unilateral steps by some Western countries led by the U.S., which is objectively losing its dominance in global affairs and trying to reverse the process of forming a just poly-centric system of international relations," he said.
"In numerous cases, their unilateral steps are openly destructive in nature and may dangerously misbalance the global governance mechanisms," he said.
"The peoples of Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Ukraine have already felt firsthand" the consequences of such actions by the U.S., he said.
