Sporadic ceasefire breaches seen in Aleppo, Hama, Daraa provinces - Yevtushenko

HMEIMIM (Syria). May 21 (Interfax) - Sporadic ceasefire breaches have been seen in the provinces of Aleppo, Hama, and Daraa in the past 24 hours, the head of the Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria, Maj. Gen. Yury Yevtushenko, said on Sunday.

"The Russian center for reconciliation of opposing sides keeps fostering a peaceful settlement of the conflict and rendering comprehensive assistance to Syrian civilians," Yevtushenko said.

The situation in Damascus suburbs is being normalized. Peaceful life is being restored, he said.

"Teams of repairmen are working round-the-clock to restore power and water supply in the town of Douma. Volunteers are clearing streets of debris. The town population is restoring homes and social facilities," Yevtushenko said.
