VELIKY NOVGOROD. May 22 (Interfax) - There are currently no planned meetings between the Russian and U.S. foreign policy chiefs, but Moscow is open to such contacts, Russian Foreign Ministry Department of North America (DNA) Director Georgy Borisenko said on Tuesday.
"The time of the meeting has not yet been set, and no particular venue has been determined. There are no blueprints and no agreements at the present time," Borisenko told Interfax on the sidelines of the Russian-American Fort Ross Dialogue forum in Veliky Novgorod on Saturday.
"In any case, there is absolute openness to such a meeting on the Russian side. We are always ready for a meeting and any other contacts on the level of foreign policy chiefs," he said.
