Russian Aerospace Forces pass test in Syria, to apply experience - Shoigu

MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax-AVN) - The operational inventory of the Russian Aerospace Forces will be improved using the experience obtained in Syria, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"The special operation in the Syrian Arab Republic, in which most flight and engineering-technical personnel took part on a rotational basis, was a serious test for the Aerospace Forces," Shoigu said at a meeting of the ministry's collegium.

The skills and knowledge received during the Syrian operation are being systematized, applied in the training of troops and military command bodies, and incorporated into textbooks and guidance manuals, he said.

"A number of decisions have been made to improve the operational inventory and military infrastructure of the Aerospace Forces using the Syrian experience," the minister said.
