MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax) - The world community needs to send a clear signal to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in order to settle the Korean Peninsula problem, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said.
"We should make every effort to set the process [of the settlement of the Korean Peninsula problem] going in the right direction," Abe said at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"Relations of cooperation between Russia and Japan, cooperation among France, China, the U.S., and South Korea, are becoming more important than ever in this regard. All interested countries should pool their efforts to set North Korea on the right path," the Japanese prime minister said.
"To this end, the world community should display consolidation, sending a clear signal to the North Korean leadership," Abe said.
